♦ MUFii tasting
MUFii is a musty wine produced from native white grapes (aka Erbaluce ...) on the hills of Barengo, a small town in the province of Novara at 250 meters above sea level.
Here, in a flowing alluvial terrain, thanks to a wonderful play of winds, sun, fogs and temperature ranges, Botrytis Cinerea develops well.
The wine, aged one year in lightly toasted acacia barriques, has a straw / golden color, is lively, bright, with a beautiful consistency.
Intense nose, of great impact with initial notes of citrus peel, mandarin, cedar that evolve into hints of peach, apricot, tropical fruit, candied fruit, honey.
Magnificent acidity in the mouth, great salivation that perfectly balances the sugar content.
Persistent, elegant, it can almost be defined as a table and meditation wine at the same time.
Precisely for this reason it can be suitable for multifaceted combinations. Fois gras, blue and medium-aged cheeses, salmon tartare with soy sauce, rice with curry and raisins, desserts with ricotta and candied fruit.
